Smaranda Boros


Smaranda is Associate Professor Organisational Behaviour aan Vlerick Business School. Ze was betrokken bij academisch onderwijs (Babes-Bolyai Universiteit, Roemenië en Universiteit Tilburg, Nederland) en diverse programma's voor levenslang leren (Babeş-Bolyai Universiteit; TIAS Nimbas Business School, Nederland; FHR Lim A Po Institute for Social Studies, Suriname). Als consultant heeft zij zich gespecialiseerd in embedded interventies in managementontwikkeling.

Zij doctoreerde (2007) in de Psychologie (cum laude) aan Babeş-Bolyai Universiteit, Cluj-Napoca, Roemenië. Ze heeft een master in Human Resource Management (2004), een bachelor in de Psychologie (2003) en een bachelor in de Sociologie (2004) van Babes-Bolyai University. Ze kreeg ook groepstrainingen en individuele coaching en begeleiding van het Professional Development Institute BV (Nederland), het Tavistock Institute for Human Relations (Groot-Brittannië) en de Roemeense Vereniging voor Cognitieve Gedragstherapie in samenwerking met het Albert Ellis Instituut in New York.

Haar onderzoek richt zich vooral op groepsdynamiek (in het bijzonder conflicten in teams, emotionele intelligentie van groepen, teamcreativiteit en -effectiviteit), diversiteit in teams, gender en management en organisatorische en groepsidentificatie. Ze publiceerde artikelen over deze onderwerpen in tijdschriften zoals de ‘British Journal of Management’, ‘British Journal of Social Psychology’, ‘International Journal of Conflict Management’, ‘Social Psychology’, ‘Journal of Managerial Psychology’ en ‘International Journal of Psychology and Group Dynamics’.
