Leonardo Meeus

Leonardo was involved in setting up the first international electricity market on the European continent. He also studied electricity highways, which led him to Ireland to work for a project developer. He gained expertise on infrastructure regulation by negotiating with the relevant authorities in Ireland and the UK. He subsequently joined the Florence School of Regulation where he broadened his knowledge of regulatory affairs. In Florence, he also taught in the international programs for energy regulators and he advised European Institutions on diverse energy policy issues. In 2012, he came to the Vlerick Business School to support the development of managers that can shape the energy system of the future.
