Veronika Kisfalvi


Professor Dr Veronika Kisfalvi (M.B.A. HEC Montréal; PhD McGill University) is an associate professor at HEC Montréal. Her courses focus on leadership, management, management skills and decision-making. She is particularly interested in the areas of delegation, superior-subordinate relationships and communication, as well as building effective work teams. She has extensive experience as a management trainer to both public and private organisations in Switzerland, Holland, Bulgaria, Romania, Trinidad, Tunisia, West Africa and the USA. As a researcher, she has published a number of articles on leadership and the dynamics of strategic decision making in top management teams in top academic journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Organization Studies and Journal of Business Venturing. She has also spoken at numerous international conferences about the relationships between emotions, character, leadership and organizational strategy. Before embarking upon her academic career, she worked for a number of years as the manager of a family-owned business in the printing field. She also held the position of Director of Human Resources at the Canadian Red Cross Society, Québec Division.
