Do you want to become a mentor and can you make yourself available on the 20th of October 2016 and the 20th of April 2017? Then subscribe as mentor to the platform for development!

As a mentor you can make a difference in an MBA student´s life by assisting them in developing their career path and coaching them to find the right job.

As soon as you subscribed to the event, you will receive the dream & CV booklet, where you can look for your 3 preferred students. Shortly after you communicated your 3 preferred students  to [email protected], you will be informed about the student assigned to you. Once you have been matched to a student, you might already be contacted by your mentee.

The objective is to coach your mentee and to provide him/her with guidance, aimed at developing his or her future career path.  Ultimately, we want the student to find the right job.

The mentoring officially starts with a mentoring kick-off event, which will take place on October 20, and will start at 7:30 PM sharp, dress code = Business. This event will start with a short introduction to mentoring with the do’s and don’ts of mentoring and description of the role of the mentor and the role of the mentee.

During the second part of the evening, each student will be paired to his or her Mentor, for a one-on-one session about career related queries.

Last part of the evening: Students and Mentors are welcome for a networking reception. This is an opportunity for students to connect with other Mentors in an informal environment.

After the event, coaching sessions between yourself and your mentee are supposed to take place. You can share your experience with the mentee, and highlight how you would address issues that the student comes across. A follow-up event follows on April 20th.

The Vlerick Alumni Team cohort are looking forward to welcoming you at our “Platform For Development” event.
