Webinar: Newcomer Induction Management Acceleration Programme: bridging the gap between companies and highly-educated newcomers

Research and practice show a clear paradox on multicultural diversity in the labour market. A lot of strong and highly-educated international talent is struggling to enter the Belgian labour market while at the same time many companies are struggling to recruit highly qualified talent.

To bridge this gap Vlerick Business School and Talentree, a coaching organisation on building strong diverse teams, carried out the ‘Newcomer Induction Management Acceleration Programme’ (NiMAP) with Support of the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Flemish Government. Based on real-life experiences complemented by research and expert interviews, toolkits were developed for both highly-educated newcomers and companies to help them overcome the hurdles they face and find mutual benefits instead.

In this webinar, we build upon the insights gathered throughout the project and discuss the challenge of bringing organisations and highly-educated newcomers closer together. On the agenda:

  • How to build a business case for multicultural diversity 
  • Getting the foundations right for a diverse organisation 
  • Diversification of the recruitment process 
  • Managing diversity in the workplace.
