Vlerick Alumni Golf Club Challenge & Clinic 2025
It’s time for Vlerick Alumni’s 24th Golf Challenge and Clinic. And we’d love for you to come along – whether you can get a hole-in-one or not! Together with our main partner VDP – Your Corporate Finance – we’ll be teeing off at the Royal Ostend Golf Club on Saturday, 31 May 2025. Everyone’s welcome, including alumni, students and guests – you don’t even need to be a golfer to take part!
We think you’ll love the Royal Ostend Golf Club. It’s Belgium’s only links course – and its natural terrain, sandy soil and exposure to wind pose unique challenges to golfers. (Just don’t let that intimidate you if you’ve never held a golf club in your life.) Current Challenge cup holder Bob Fiers will be defending his title of Best Alumni Golfer of the Year.
We really hope you’ll kick off your golfing summer with us for a day of fun, food, drinks and networking in a stunning golf setting.
Programme
- 9.30am: Brunch for Golf Challenge participants
- 2pm: Welcome drink for Golf Clinic participants
- 4.30pm: Complimentary après-golf (offered by Duvel) and sweets – Open bar
- 6pm: Prize giving including prizes for the Challenge Cup winner, the Jan Van Roy Prize, Nearies, Longest, etc.
- 6.30pm: Dinner (optional)

- 11.30am: Shotgun (for handicaps below 36; minimum of 72 and maximum of 86 players) – Vlerick Alumni Golf Challenge

- 2.30pm: An extended golf clinic (rules and etiquette, putting, chipping, driving)

- Paying Alumni (including students) and Vlerick Alumni Golf Club members:
- Shotgun (18 holes): €120
- Golf Clinic: €40
Students get a €20 discount on these fees.
- Alumni (non-paying) and guests:
- Shotgun (18 holes): €155
- Golf Clinic: €50
Optional dinner (includes Ostend shrimp croquettes, cod or fillet of beef and chocolate dessert): €75 per person

- Your name and the name of your guest (if applicable)
- Which golf activity you’ll be doing (Challenge or Clinic) and whether you’ll be having dinner
