Carine Peeters

Full Professor of Strategy

A firm believer in boosting company performance through people.

Carine Peeters has a passion for developing the strategic thinking and practice of executives and managers at all levels. Exploring how established companies can evolve their strategy to succeed in changing market conditions is central to her work. She has embarked on a major project to study how companies across industries develop the strategic flexibility to navigate turbulence linked to factors including the rapid development and diffusion of digital technologies. She’s also developed a model and scan to assess firms’ adaptive capabilities along five key dimensions. Carine has won several research awards and grants, and her work has been published in high-ranking international journals.

At Vlerick, she delivers hands-on sessions in multiple open executive and company-specific programmes. She also facilitates strategy workshops for corporate clients, and chairs the Area Entrepreneurship, Governance and Strategy of the school. Carine also leads the Strategy in Action Platform, where she works closely with companies to develop actionable insights and strategic best practice. And she's Associate Dean Strategy and Innovation.
