  3. Warm goodbye to Masters and MBA students during graduation ceremony

    Last week we celebrated the graduation of 242 Masters students and 41 Executive MBA students. A delegation of some 65 Chinese BiMBA students flew in especially from Beijing to join their fellow students at the festive graduation ceremony in Ghent. In total 1,100 people attended the ceremony and reception afterwards in the garden of the Ghent campus, amongst which also family and close friends of the graduates.

    Vlerick Masters in Financial Management student Mohamed Mounir has become third in the BAT Europe, Africa and Middle East Hall of Fame for the month of April. The Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT) allows students who are interested in pursuing a career in the finance sector to compare themselves internationally and to showcase their strengths to potential financial employers worldwide.

    Hannes Spanhove, Gaëlle De Riddere and Hanne De Bauw came second in the Belgian final of the 2014 L’Oréal Brandstorm. Participation in this business game is part of the curriculum of the Masters in Marketing Management programme, which they are currently following. Initially there were 350 participants, and in the final the Vlerick team competed against six other teams from Belgian universities and business schools.

    Opening up the closed world of aviation to young graduates – that’s the aim of the Young Aviation Network (YAN). On 24 April YAN organised its kick-off event at Brussels Airport, attended by representatives from both our corporate partner Brussels Airlines and Brussels Airport Company. The prime movers were two enterprising Masters students, Agnör Vijncke and Bob van der Vleuten. YAN is ready for take-off.

  10. Best result ever for Vlerick students in annual sales competition in the US

    Masters in Marketing students Claire Cammaert and Clara Verhoeven have won the second prize at the National Collegiate Sales Competition in Atlanta (US). They had the honour to represent Vlerick Business School in the largest and oldest sales role-play competition in existence, after having become first and second during the Vlerick Sales Competition in January this year. This is the best result ever since Vlerick students participated in this competition for the first time.
