    The Masters in General Management students at our Leuven campus have written and developed an independent student magazine called V-Mag. It’s mainly business-oriented and targets Vlerick students, but also everyone who is interested in Vlerick Business School. The magazine is available digitally only and can be read online or downloaded as a PDF.

    BRIDEE stands for BRIdging Design, Entrepreneurship and Education. This co-creation platform brings together creative idea owners, designers and Vlerick business students in multidisciplinary business teams. They work together to turn your ideas into practise. Each team is coached by business academics and design gurus, during a period of 5 months. To get selected, idea owners are invited to post an idea on the website and present their pitch on the IDEEfair on 13 November 2012, the first in a series of business & design dates.

    In London, Vlerick students Kjell Clarysse, Rutger Callewier and Tom Tourné were awarded third place in the annual ‘European Business Plan of the Year’ competition. During this 20th anniversary edition, the three students – who are currently studying for a Master in General Management – took on students from the leading business schools in Europe.

    Wim Wauters and Jamie O’Gorman – Masters in Marketing Management students at Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School – recently took part in the National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC) at Kennesaw State University in Georgia (USA). They returned home with no less than 3 prizes, despite tough competition from student teams from US universities who have more exposure to sales courses and more real-life work experience.

    A team of five Vlerick students from the Masters in Financial Management programme has won 3rd place in the local CFA Institute Research Challenge for Belgium and the Netherlands. This international competition is organised by the CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals.

  8. Vlerick team wins two awards at the European Business Plan of the Year Competition

    Vlerick full-time MBA students Lina Victoria Ramirez, Mauricio Rangel and Angela Maria Pineda Osorio have won both the Sustainability Award as well as the Elevator Pitch Award at the 19th European Business Plan of the Year Competition (EBPYC), which was hosted this year by Cranfield School of Management in the UK. The Vlerick team participated in the competition with their Eco Tree business proposition, a pioneering forestry company that develops sustainable teak plantations in Colombia as a profitable business with a highly social and environmental impact.

  9. Vlerick student projects more successful than ever

    Every year, the Vlerick Masters and full-time MBA students conclude their academic year with an ‘in-company project’. This is when teams of 2 or 3 students work intensively for 8 up to 14 weeks in a company on a specific, well-defined project. However, this year the business world’s demand for Vlerick students is greater than the supply. So, companies that are interested in lining up students for the next academic year had better act soon!

  10. Vlerick student Katia Pallini named ‘Marketing Genius 2011’

    Katia Pallini, a student in the Masters in Marketing Management programme at Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, has been named Marketing Genius Student of 2011. The House of Marketing organises this Marketing Genius contest, in which students and young professionals with a passion for marketing compete against each other. The prize for Marketing Genius Young Potential went to Maarten Quartier.
