Marion Debruyne has Vlerick running through her veins. She was a Professor of Marketing for 10 years before becoming Dean in 2015. She was unanimously re-appointed for a second term in 2019.
Her role encompasses academic and strategic leadership, organisational duties and interacting with stakeholders, faculty, staff, students, customers, alumni and partner institutions. She balances current priorities with future investment – helping Vlerick to achieve its objectives and expand its ambitions.

The General Council is responsible for Vlerick’s strategic and financial governance. It also acts as a sounding board for our Board of Directors. The Council is made up of representatives from our alumni network, parent universities and faculty and various other organisations and institutions.
The Board of Directors oversees our school’s strategy and output. It’s a diverse group – representing Vlerick’s past and present, our parent universities, our openness to society and our place in the international business world.
The Executive Committee looks after the day-to-day management of Vlerick.
