Junior Research Associate Healthcare

What can you expect?

Among other things, you will support two applied research projects on creating cost transparency of care trajectories to move towards value-based thinking in support of healthcare decision-making. Meanwhile, you will get the opportunity to get prepared for starting PhD research early 2018.

In general, as a researcher in the Vlerick Healthcare Management Centre, you will:

• Conduct research in collaboration with faculty and other researchers. This includes more specifically: 
    o Planning research projects, 
    o Performing research projects:
• Desk research (e.g. finding and synthesising relevant publications)
• Collecting data/field research (survey, secondary data, contacting research partners, etc.)
• Analysing data
• Disseminate knowledge by writing papers, reports and articles, social media and present research findings to both business and academic audiences
• Provide support in student projects (screening, guiding students, critical reading, etc.)
• Provide support for our teaching activities, both in executive education and in MBA/Master courses

What do we expect from you?

• You have a Master’s degree (preferably MSc) and are interested in a PhD track
• You have a research mind-set
• You have an affinity with management and more specifically healthcare management, health economics and health policy and/or cost accounting
• You want to conduct applied research, relevant for both business and academia
• You are fluent in English. Proficiency in French is a plus.
• You can work autonomously, but you are also a good team player
• You have a pro-active attitude
• You have good writing and computing skills
• Located in either campus Leuven, Brussels or Ghent
