Love art? And seeing the world from different perspectives? Then join Vlerick LGBTQIA+ alumni and their allies on an exclusive guided tour through the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp. This exclusive tour reveals art and its history through a rainbow prism. It’s followed by a visit to the Ella McVeigh exhibition at the Newchild Gallery. Join us to celebrate community, creativity and networking.
In this guided queer tour, you’ll discover the museum collection through a pair of pink glasses. How do we look at traditional art from a queer perspective? Which artists played with gender norms? Which paintings show us what was considered modest or immoral? How is the queer community appropriating certain representations of the past? This tour will inspire you to look at art in a contrarian way – and be yourself! Because why be normal when you can be fabulous?
After the tour, Vlerick alumnus Sarah Vanwelden – who founded the Newchild Gallery – will invite us to view its Ella McVeigh exhibition. There will also be networking drinks amongst the gallery’s stunning collection of modern art.
Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to build a strong, fierce and proud network of business professionals!
