Topical event

After the 2008 global financial crisis, Andy Haldane, former Chief Economist at the Bank of England, asked: “Has the age of innocence ended?”

What followed was more regulation and greater oversight of the financial sector. And since then, private debt has grown massively. So we’re bringing together leading voices from global finance institutions to get their views on private debt – and we’d be delighted to welcome you.

As financial organisations have been subjected to greater levels of regulation, corporations are increasingly looking for new ways to borrow. At the same time, investors are seeking alternative vehicles that offer a fixed income.

Established, stable companies are offering long-term loans, that offer interest rates that move with the market and an attractive spread. The regular income they offer – in contrast to private equity – appeals to institutional investors.

We’ll be discussing these trends and more on our Brussels campus in May.

Join us to hear from experts from Deloitte, Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Neuberger Berman – and network with like-minded professionals.
