Topical event

The energy transition is transforming the ways we consume, produce, and share electricity. For SMEs and larger companies alike, this brings both challenges and opportunities. At this exclusive event – hosted by the Alumni Senior Club and the Alumni Impact Club – leading innovators and experts will explore new business models, smart technologies, the future of energy bills and the Belgian energy market. Join us for an inspiring afternoon of debate, insights, and networking.

We kick off the afternoon with a panel debate with innovators who are shaping the Belgian energy market. Moderated by Mathias Verkest – CEO of Otary – the panel will discuss hot topics including:

  • From consumer to prosumer: Concrete strategies for SMEs to navigate energy costs, regulations, and sustainability
  • Dynamic contracts: Opportunity or too much of a risk?
  • Energy sharing and communities: What’s realistic in Belgium today?
  • The future of the energy bill: Will it disappear or evolve?
  • Belgium’s role in Europe’s energy landscape: Imports, exports, and nuclear phase-out

After the debate, the audience will take part in a live poll to share their company’s biggest energy concerns. Then we’ll open the floor for questions.

The afternoon will end with a networking reception, where you can connect with industry leaders, alumni, and peers.

Reserve your seat today – and be part of the conversation shaping Belgium’s energy future.
