‘Scaling your start-up. What does it really look like?’
Louis Jonckheere - Co-founder & Chief Product Officer of Showpad and alumnus Masters in General Management 2009 - will tell us how his Vlerick education transformed him and led to the creation of 2 high-growth international scale-ups.
He will give us insights into his experience, learnings, successes and failures, … and on his 4 years in Silicon Valley. In addition, he will share his views on the scale-up eco-system in Belgium. Hint: There’s still a LOT of work to be done here!

Who is Louis Jonckheere?
Louis Jonckheere is the Co-founder & Chief Product Officer of Showpad, where he oversees the product, design and engineering departments. Louis lived in the San Francisco area for 4 years, during which time he built Showpad’s US operations in San Francisco and Portland (Oregon).
In 2010, Louis co-founded In The Pocket, the biggest mobile agency in Belgium, where he continues to serve on the board. Prior to In The Pocket, Louis was a Strategic Partnership Manager at Netlog.
Louis holds Masters degrees in Law (from Ghent University) and General Management (from Vlerick, 2009).
Fun fact: During his law studies in Ghent, Louis started his first company - Huureenkaraoke (Rent-a-karaoke) - an online rental website for karaoke systems, targeting students. Which earned Louis his Ghent nickname: The Karaoke King! 😊
