Andrea Albuja

Doctoral Researcher, Entrepreneurship

Originally from Ecuador, Andrea Albuja has extensive experience in the banking and finance industry. Her most recent position was as Head of the Economic Risk Department at the Ecuadorian bank, Produbanco.

She’s currently working as a Doctoral Researcher at Vlerick and KU Leuven. Her research focuses on how entrepreneurs in young ventures decide to allocate resources, particularly compensation. As well as her research, she also contributes to research within the Centre for Excellence in Scale-Ups, as well as to the annual Rising Star Monitor, which is a joint study on young high-growth ventures in Belgium alongside our corporate partner Deloitte.
