Charlotte Van Kerschaver
Researcher, Entrepreneurship, Governance and Strategy
Charlotte is a Junior Researcher in our Centre for Excellence in SME Management – part of the Vlerick Entrepreneurship Academy. In close collaboration with Professor Miguel Meuleman, she investigates how SMEs in Flanders make key strategic decisions across three domains – strategy, HR and finance. Her research involves regular interaction with entrepreneurs to gain insights into SME decision-making processes – and to ensure the practical relevance of the findings.
She also contributes to the Impulse Centre: Growth management for medium-sized enterprises (iGMO). The centre is led by Professor Yannick Dillen – and it focuses on high-growth SMEs. Charlotte and Prof Dillen are set to revitalise the Belgian High-Growth Monitor research initiative, to bring fresh insights to rapidly scaling businesses.
By translating research outcomes into actionable insights for SMEs, Charlotte helps to bridge the gap between academic research and business practice.
