Dieter De Mesmaeker wanted to make data skills accessible for everyone. So in 2013, he co-founded DataCamp, an online training platform that teaches skills like Python, R and SQL. Dieter is currently the company’s CTO – and DataCamp has become a global organisation. It has a presence in New York, London and Leuven, a team of more than 150 – and has trained more than eight million people worldwide.
In 2021, the Financial Times recognised DataCamp as the 54th fastest-growing company in the Americas. It was the second time the organisation has made the list.
Dieter loves to blend technology with product management. In 2018, he won the Vlerick Venture Award. And he’s an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Vlerick Entrepreneurship Academy.
