Hanna Buyssens

Doctoral Researcher, Digital Transformation

Researches how companies can use technology in more meaningful, sustainable ways.

Hanna Buyssens works as a Doctoral Research at Vlerick, focusing on meaningful digital transformation for agile organisations. She’s also involved in the Centre for Enterprise Architecture and Digital Design.

She worked as a Microsoft Business Central consultant for a year and a half after she graduated – and then returned to academia.

In her research, Hanna looks at how companies can use technology in a meaningful way – and what challenges and opportunities it provides. She uses her multidisciplinary background to look at challenges from different angles, aiming to defy some of the assumptions related to digital transformation, organisational design and value creation.

She is also interested in sustainability, employee wellbeing and philosophy. Hanna is a firm believer in the power and responsibility of companies to change society for the better
