Hans Vanoorbeek

Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship

An expert in private equity, Hans shares his passion for entrepreneurial buyouts.

Hans Vanoorbeek is managing partner and co-founder of BV Capital Partners, the  private equity company he founded in 2003. He is currently a Director at Aquasourca, the private equity investment vehicle of the Luxemburg-based Defforey family. He’s also a senior adviser of Chequer’s Capital, a mid-size French private equity firm.

Before this, he worked in private equity in London. He spent eight years as a partner at BC Partners, and as an Associate Director at IK Investment Partners. He is a shareholder and board member of several companies.

As Adjunct Professor, Hans supports Vlerick in its activities around entrepreneurial buyouts. He’s actively involved as partner of the steering committee of the Centre for Mergers, Acquisitions and Buyouts.
