Jan Longeval
Adjunct Professor of Finance
Jan has vast expertise in asset management – and brings years of experience in finance to his teaching at Vlerick.
In his role as owner and founder of Kounselor Consulting, Jan Longeval advises companies on finance and investing. He’s on the board of directors, the audit committee and the investment committee at Synatom, which is part of the ENGIE Group. He’s also on the financial committee of some of Belgium’s largest pension funds and of Immotheker Finotheker, Belgium’s largest mortgage broker and financial planner.
Previously, Jan was Managing Director and Group Executive Committee member at Bank Degroof Petercam.
At Vlerick, Jan shares his experience with our Masters in Financial Management students. He co-founded both the Executive Programme on Asset Management and the asset management course at IMT (Ghaziabad, India), which runs in affiliation with Vlerick.
Jan has published two books – God dobbelt niet op de beurs/ Dieu ne joue pas aux dés avec la Bourse in 2019 and Heavy Metal in 2020.
