Jan-Willem Rombouts began his entrepreneurial journey in 2010. He left his role as Executive Director at Goldman Sachs to launch REstore – an AI platform that helped to change how power grids are balanced across the world. REstore is now part of Centrica – and continues to offer zero-emission, cost-effective and high-performing grid balancing from Japan to North America.
Jan-Willem’s latest venture, Scone, is an AI platform that uses highly personalised technology to help customers reduce their carbon footprint. He is the company’s CEO – and he is also an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Vlerick Entrepreneurship Academy.
