Jana’s research focuses on people management, HRM and employee motivation.
Jana Machtelinckx researches human research and people management at Vlerick. She focuses on talent management, strategic human resources management (HRM) and employee motivation.
She specialises in applied research and research-for-business projects – and is currently working on a project examining purpose in Belgian organisations. Her previous project studied performance management.
As well as her research, Jana coordinates content for the Vlerick HR Day. She also coordinates the Career Skills course, which helps masters students learn more about the application process. And she coaches students for the My VDP (My Vlerick Development Portfolio) course.
Before Vlerick, Jana was a job coach and project associate at the University of Ghent. She has also worked as a recruiter.
