Jimena’s research focuses on how culture and relationships can impact negotiation.

Jimena Ramirez Marin specialises in international negotiation and conflict resolution. She’s an expert on how culture and relationships impact negotiation. Her research involves analysing intra and intercultural negotiations to explore the influence of cultural norms and values – and how strategy can affect negotiation outcomes.

Jimena’s work has been published in high-impact management journals such as OBHDP, JOOP and JOB. She is an active board member of the International Association of Conflict Management and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the academic journal, Negotiation and Conflict Management Research.

Before joining Vlerick, Jimena taught at the IÉSEG School of Management in France, Kellogg School of Management in the USA and the University of Seville in Spain. Her professional experience includes working with executives in Mexico.
