Niels Schillewaert

Adjunct Professor of Marketing

Niels Schillewaert has 20 years’ experience in market research. He’s Managing Partner and Co-Founder of InSites Consulting, where he leads consulting and research projects for clients including JDE, Essent, COTY, Shimano, Coca-Cola and ABInBev. He was also responsible for the company’s launch in the US.

Throughout his 15-year academic career, Niels’ research has been published in leading scientific journals – and he’s received a number of research awards. His work focuses on business marketing, sales management, information technology and e-business. He regularly speaks at international conferences in the market research industry, such as Esomar, ARF, American Marketing Association and CASRO. He’s also the former President and current council member of Esomar.

Niels has a long history at Vlerick. He followed a Masters in Marketing Management, worked as a researcher at the school and was Programme Director for the Masters in Marketing for five years. Now he teaches executives about e-marketing and market research. He’s also responsible for academic research and advising companies and students.
