Helping companies integrate performance and risk management into governance practices and management processes

Regine Slagmulder’s research and teaching focuses on the link between risk management, company strategy and corporate governance. She has done ground-breaking research on strategic costing and performance management – which has been published in numerous books and top-tier academic and business journals. Her current work focuses on strategic risk management and board effectiveness. Regine regularly consults with companies and is frequently invited to speak to both business and academic audiences.

Regine worked as an expert consultant at McKinsey & Company’s strategy practice. She is currently an independent director at Quest for Growth, EKOPAK and MDxHealth, where she also chairs the Audit Committee. 

At Vlerick, Regine teaches on the Masters in General Management programme and the Executive MBA.
