A unique arts-based approach

KPN’s partnership with Vlerick resulted in closing the digital gap in The Netherlands

Amid highly disruptive circumstances and a new growth strategy, leadership at KPN had recognised that they needed to continuously invest in their management approach to sustain the organisation in the long term. It sought to introduce a learning experience across the company that would help forge greater trust among KPN colleagues to boost cross-segment connections and collaboration. KPN chose Vlerick Business School to spearhead the leadership acceleration programme to meet this challenge. Embracing a unique arts-based approach, the programme centred on how to build trust with others, increase courage in decision-making, and, in turn, transform courage into business value.

What’s more, the programme has led to the creation of an initiative led by participants to close the digital gap, reducing the number of families in The Netherlands who do not have access to new technologies. This directly contributed to KPN’s goal of driving social and digital inclusion in society.
