It is with a heavy heart that we share with you the sad news that our respected colleague Peter De Prins passed away.

In memoriam Peter De Prins

Joining Vlerick Business School in October 2010, Peter De Prins was first Director of the Vlerick Centre for Excellence in Leadership and Coaching. As from January 2014 he became Professor of Management Practice, specialising in change management and leadership. In this role, he leveraged his ample international experience as engineer, entrepreneur, coach and manager and had an impact on thousands of participants.

From the music he played when they entered the room (whether that room was virtual or not), to the way he made theory come to life, through his superb storytelling, extensive experience and sense of humour. Anybody who had the privilege to have a session with Peter came away feeling inspired to embrace change. He left a mark on many, not only through his sessions but also through the book “The six batteries of change” he wrote together with Kurt Verweire and Geert Letens.

As colleagues, we will remember Peter as ever enthusiastic, ever professional, ever smiling, ever searching for the original approach or the extra touch.

He will be tremendously missed. On behalf of the Vlerick community, we offer our sincere condolences to his family and significant others and share in their grief.

For those who would like to leave behind a personal message, his family created a digital space to collect the condolences: www.uitvaartvanroey.be.

On behalf of all the Vlerick colleagues,
Marion Debruyne
