Vlerick climbs to number 6 worldwide with Masters in Management
The Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking 2026
Vlerick Business School Brussels based Masters in International Management and Strategy (MIMS) has climbed eight places to sixth globally in the Financial Times Masters in Management 2026 ranking, placing first worldwide for career services and its alumni network.
In Europe, the programme ranks fifth, and is the first ever top-10 placement in the FT’s MiM rankings secured by Vlerick.
The jump comes from unmatched support in launching international careers, as Programme Director Professor Kerstin Fehre explains: “International exposure is an essential part of our programme, as for example our Global Immersion Tour will exposes our students to employment opportunities across Europe by visiting companies in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Singapore and more,” she says. “This allows them to explore the various possibilities for working in strategic management positions, different industries and cultures, and to experience the vibe of the different cities. Ultimately, it’s a question of getting inspired to take the leap.”
The current cohort comprises 48 students from 18 countries with backgrounds in engineering, business, law, pharmacy, and more. Students also spend up to two months abroad applying their learning to a real business challenge through a Global Consultancy Project.
The successful careers of Vlericks graduates are also reflected in the excellent value-for-money ranking, based on alumni salaries and tuition fees.
Career advisor Emilia Konttinen explains: “As career advisors, we put a lot of effort into guiding our students throughout their job search process – from the initial stage of career orientation to personalised advice, training for assessments and job interviews, and providing ample networking opportunities through our extensive alumni and corporate network. The programme is aimed at students who want to grow into international, strategic positions in global corporations. Achieving this takes considerable commitment from the students, as well as close support and sustained effort from our team”
The MIMS also ranked 7th globally on international course experience. Students can opt for an exchange with one of Vlerick’s top-ranked partner schools, such as Bocconi in Italy, Nova SBE in Portugal, Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden, EDHEC in France, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and ESMT in Germany.
Finally, the MIMS now ranks 2nd in the world for environmental, social and governance (ESG) teaching, up 11 places, and 4th in the world in terms of carbon footprint, up 9 places from 2025. These rankings reflect Vlerick belief that sustainability should be embedded across the curriculum, to educate responsible future business leaders and it recognises the net-zero target for carbon emissions that Vlerick has set for itself.
Professor Fehre explains: “Over the past years, we observed an increasing demand from our students and companies for sustainability-related topics. That’s why we not only offer dedicated courses on the topic but also integrate sustainability discussions throughout the curriculum.”
“What pleases me most is to see that the satisfaction rate of our alumni with their overall programme experience is among the highest in the ranking,” a happy Professor Fehre concludes. “This shows that our efforts to keep the programme up-to-date and relevant, by capitalising on our close connection to business and by listening and acting upon students’ feedback, are highly valued.”
Based at Vlerick Business School’s Brussels campus, in the heart of Europe, the Masters in International Management and Strategy runs from early September to June, with the first round of admissions opening in October. You can find more information here.
