Vlerick joins prestigious consortium

The move will open doors internationally for our Global Executive MBA participants

21 October 2025

Vlerick Business School has been accepted into the EMBA Consortium – a prestigious global network of leading business schools.

Including Vlerick, the group now comprises 15 top-ranked and highly accredited international schools across Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Asia.

The Consortium provides opportunities for Executive MBA participants at member schools to collaborate and learn together. And during its flagship International Week, Executive MBA participants can choose a course at any school in the network.

A core component of our Global Executive MBA

This new membership gives participants in our new Global Executive MBA the ability learn and build networks in business hubs across the world. It also gives them the flexibility to tailor their studies during the Consortium’s International Week.

David Simmons, Executive Director of the EMBA Consortium added: "We are delighted to welcome Vlerick to the Consortium. A triple-accredited and world-renowned school, Vlerick sits at the heart of Europe. With its strength in entrepreneurship and its proximity to some of Europe's most important institutions and corporations, Vlerick will provide an exciting destination for participants from around the world. We are looking forward to working together to develop an inspiring new chapter both for the Consortium and Vlerick.”

Professor David Weinstein, Chair of the EMBA Consortium, said: “The Deans’ Council was unanimous and enthusiastic in welcoming Vlerick to the EMBA Consortium family. We could not have hoped for a better partner to represent the industries, academia and cultures of the Benelux region.”

The flexibility to study worldwide

Our Global Executive MBA students will now have the option to choose from worldwide EMBA Consortium locations during International Week.

In September 2026, they’ll join more than 250 Executive MBA participants from across the world in major business centres including Yokohama, Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Lima, Cape Town, Shanghai and Munich. And of course, participants in membership schools will be able to choose to study with Vlerick, here in Brussels.

Consortium courses focus on topics including innovation, customer experience design, international supply chains, family business, macro-economics, emerging markets – and more.
