We’re consistently recognised as one of the top business schools in the world

13 June 2019

When you’re choosing where to learn about business, it makes sense to partner with a school that’s recognised across the world for the quality of its programmes. Yet in a world full of spin, how do you know who to listen to? In the world of business learning, there’s an easy way to assess which schools stand out head and shoulders above the rest.

2016 Experience Vlerick Day

You look for their accreditations – the assessments from independent bodies that show a school provides outstanding programmes, experience, networks and opportunities. Here at Vlerick, we’re proud to be amongst the few business schools in the world to be accredited by all three major independent bodies – in Europe, America and at a global level. This triple accreditation means we’re recognised by all three of the world’s major independent assessors for offering the highest quality of business learning.

We are honoured to be part of the limited number of business schools worldwide to hold this “triple crown”. And, the only business school in Belgium.

WHAT ARE ACCREDITATION ASSESSORS LOOKING FOR?

Our three accreditations come from EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB.

EQUIS is the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) Quality Improvement System. It assesses business schools on their internationalisation initiatives, ethical approaches and business contacts.

AMBA is the UK’s Association of MBAs. It accredits the top 2% of schools in 75 countries across the world. Its focus is on the quality of programmes – their content and learning outputs.

And AACSB is the USA’s Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. It assesses business schools on teaching, innovation and their impact on society.

WHAT ABOUT THE FT RANKINGS?

Of course, on top of our accreditations, we also take part in the FT rankings every year. The Financial Times ranks business schools according to their own data on important subjects like diversity and numbers of international participants. It also gets direct feedback from participants and alumni who’ve participated in our programmes.

They rank us on subjects including how our latest research is incorporated into teaching, value for money – and how easy it has been to use learnings from Vlerick in the workplace. And we’re happy to report that we’re consistently amongst the best business schools in the world in the FT rankings.

We’re proud of our accreditations and rankings – and we feel very strongly about the quality of the programmes we offer. We work relentlessly to make sure they’re the most relevant and impactful in today’s modern business world.
