Hospitals face a number of challenges – from collaborating with other healthcare providers through to rapid digitalisation, patients spending less time in hospital and a greater focus on preventative healthcare. And all these challenges come with financial, strategic, organisational and human consequences.
On this 10-day programme for doctors and hospital employees, you live and learn various aspects of hospital management – so you can leap confidently into contributing to your hospital’s policy.
This programme consists of two five-day modules and two webinars – which include exercises, discussions, simulations and coaching – and a place on the Vlerick Healthcare Conference.
The first module focuses on the macro perspective of the hospital, including sector trends, the financial picture and strategic focus. The second module explores how you create value for patients in your own department – and how you can improve.
The Vlerick Healthcare Conference is a gathering of professionals from the wider healthcare sector – including doctors, hospital teams and pharmaceutical and medical technology organisations. It is built around a single theme, which is explored from a variety of perspectives through sessions, keynote speeches and a debate.
In previous editions, we had the pleasure of welcoming participants from companies like:
Paediatric Nephrologist at ZNA
One particular thing I learned is that to tackle the sticking points in paediatrics, you have to find like-minded people. The great advantage of the Vlerick programme is the network. Partly thanks to the course, I am now a member of many paediatric associations in Flanders and Belgium. It’s quite time-consuming, but probably the only way to really achieve something. I now feel like I really know what I’m talking about in several areas.
