Ann Vereecke

Profile

Ann Vereecke is Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management at Vlerick Business School and Ghent University. She is Partner and Faculty Dean of Vlerick Business School. She graduated as an engineer at Ghent University, and has obtained her PhD at Ghent University in 1997, having been a visiting PhD candidate in INSEAD (France). Ann teaches Operations and Supply Chain Management in the MBA and Master programmes at Vlerick Business School. She has been actively involved in executive teaching and in research projects for a broad range of companies (including Aliaxis, AB Inbev, Bekaert, Bostik, Carrefour, Corus, Etex, Goodman, Imperial Tobacco, Johnson & Johnson, Möbius Consulting, Tessenderlo Group, Umicore, YKK and the European Petrochemical Association). She has been visiting Professor in Operations Management at Rotterdam School of Management. Her main interests are Supply Chain Management and manufacturing strategy, in particular international manufacturing strategy. She has published several articles in these areas. She is member of the board and Past-President of EurOMA (European Operations Management Association) and member of the board of POMS (the US-based Production and Operations Management Society), and she has been member of the Board and Vice President of Flanders Institute for Logistics. Ann also serves on the editorial board of some academic journals, among which the International Journal of Operations and Production Management.
