Martin Weiss

Profile

Martin Weiss is an Associate Professor of Strategy at Vlerick Business School and the Program Director of the Global Executive MBA. Before joining Vlerick Business School, Martin Weiss was an Assistant Professor at the Department Management at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, where he also obtained his PhD in 2009. He also serves as visiting faculty for other renowned business schools in Europe. Prior to his academic career, he was working as a strategy consultant for firms such as Roland Berger and McKinsey.

Ever since he joined academia, he has done work as trainer and coach for Volkswagen, Hyundai, Fiat, Deutsche Telekom, RWE, Generali, Roland Berger, and many other companies around the globe. His training centers around the areas of business strategy, corporate strategy, adaptive strategy, and consulting skills. In his research, he focus on the broad area of corporate strategy and on developing strategies in uncertainty. His research has appeared in journals such as Long Range Planning, the Journal of Accounting & Organizational Change or Management Review Quarterly and in book series such as the Advances in Mergers and Acquisitions or the Progress in International Business Review.
