Leading transformation at ING

Category: Alumni Events

This session is the second in a series of Vlerick MBA Alumni events, featuring inspiring stories about corporate transformations. Join us with Erik Van Den Eynden, CEO of ING, who shares his story of this corporate transformation journey.

We all know the world is changing fast. And we cannot predict the future, nobody can. What we know for certain is this: those who can't adapt quickly, will be consigned to history. Only by being ready to change, can you be ready for the change. That is why ING has embarked on a transformational journey that is making it the bank of the future.

During his keynote, Erik Van Den Eynden, CEO of ING in Belgium will elaborate on the transformation that took place, the reasons for it and how it affects the bank’s future. Lifting a tip of the veil: in 2019, further steps were taken in transforming ING into a single integrated bank in Belgium and the Netherlands. With 11 million customers in both countries served from the same platform, ING will become one of the biggest banking platforms in the Benelux.

The keynote will be continued by an panel of experts, incl. Erik Van Den Eynden, Peter De Prins (Prof. Vlerick), Kurt Verweire (Prof. Vlerick), Jean-Claude Lecoyer (Partner Accord Group) and Richard Reis (Investment Manager Argos Wityu) who will debate on the topic, moderated by Anne De Baetzelier.
