Exploring the role of social interaction and emotion in entrepreneurship research
Andreea Gorbatai researches and teaches about the impact of technology on entrepreneurship. She explores the influence of platforms and AI on entrepreneurial outcomes. She’s also deeply interested in the ways technology allows people and teams to work in collaboration.
Fundamentally, Andreea asks the question: Do tech advances improve the world, or do they exacerbate discrimination, inequality and polarisation?
At Vlerick Business School, Andreea teaches courses on Entrepreneurship in our Masters in General Management and Online MBA programmes and organises the annual Masters in Innovation & Entrepreneurship Silicon Valley trip.
Before joining Vlerick, she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Management of Organisations Group at the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley. Prior to her academic career, she consulted for organisations including National Economic Research Associates (NERA) and Deloitte Consulting.
Andreea has extensive international experience and is fluent in five languages.
