Katia Tieleman is a leading authority in negotiations. She draws from a sophisticated academic background – as well as from her rich experience as a practitioner. 

As an international trainer, advisor and coach in negotiation, conflict management, influencing skills, mediation, (intercultural) cooperation, and leadership, Katia has worked with a variety of international organisations such as the UN, the OECD, the European Union and the World Bank. She has lived and worked in several countries and speaks six languages. She is also affiliated with the Harvard Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.

Katia is the author of the highly innovative Negotiation Intelligence® (NQ®) approach, which helps individuals, teams and companies to both screen and boost their negotiation and cooperation potential. She empowers clients to develop their personal skills and organisational strengths, and supports them to broker agreements, maximise influence, develop common ground and use diversity and complexity to their advantage. 

At Vlerick, she teaches on the MBA programmes, the Advanced Management Programme and other executive programmes
