Rong Wu is a Doctoral Researcher at Vlerick. Her work examines digital transformation within the pharmaceutical industry, specifically at the Belgian company UCB. She collaborates closely with her supervisors, Professors Stijn Viaene and Philippe Baecke.

Rong’s work focuses on the role of data – both internally, in terms of employee usage, and externally, in terms of patient outcomes. She wants to understand the potential digital transformation could offer in terms of business value. Her research will identify opportunities to use data to drive innovation and improve business processes.

Alongside her research activities, Rong is involved in co-teaching on our degree bootcamps.

Rong is passionate about creating innovative solutions that meet the needs and expectations of customers and stakeholders. Before starting her academic career, she held internships at leading e-commerce platforms such as Alibaba Group and Weidian Beijing. She also co-founded a business that produces and sells unique products to a diverse and loyal fan base.
