Yves Verboven

Executive in Residence

Yves Verboven is the founder of EU4HealthSolutions. He’s a key player in the journey towards value-based procurement in healthcare in Europe – and the development of technology-specific health and digital technology assessments. One of his current initiatives is unlocking EU regulation for innovators and entrepreneurs.

Yves believes in the power of innovation, partnerships and a value-based approach. He supports the European Alliance for Value in Health and the importance of incorporating value in investment decisions in healthcare.

In his role as Executive in Residence at Vlerick, Yves is working with the Healthcare Management Centre to set up a research consortium of MedTech companies. The research will focus on new methods of comparative analysis – using real-world health data in adaptive health technology assessment policies. It will build on the current view that there should be a Europe-wide approach to medical technology assessment.

Yves previously worked at MedTech Europe, where he led on innovation access, health technology assessment (HTA), pharma strategy and economic policy. He has advised the Direction Générale de l'Offre de Soins (DGOS) in France, EIT Health and several life science companies.
