Professor of Management Practice
According to the most recent Financial Times ranking, the Executive MBA programme at Vlerick Business School holds the number 1 position in Belgium and, in fact, in the entire Benelux. Within Europe, we are ranked 27th – and globally we are at number 56. The ranking is issued annually by the Financial Times and lists the top 100 best Executive MBA programmes across the world.
A more detailed analysis of the individual criteria in the ranking shows that our Executive MBA programme scores particularly well on career progress and salary increase. For both criteria, we rank in the top 15 in Europe. This proves that the programme provides participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to take the leap towards a more senior role in a larger organisation. This career progression goes hand in hand with a higher salary, resulting in the most significant salary increase compared to all other Belgian and Dutch schools in the ranking.
Additionally, we are ranked in the top 20 in the world for our international course experience and our carbon footprint. This new criterion reflects Vlerick’s commitment to embedding sustainability systematically throughout the school.
“We are grateful that our continued improvements reflect well in the ranking,” says Martin Butler, MBA Programme Director at Vlerick Business School. “It confirms that our ongoing efforts to enhance the programme experience are bearing fruit. Simultaneously, we are investing in the future as well. We’ve recently redesigned our entire MBA portfolio – including the Executive MBA – and have introduced more elective choices, the opportunity to specialise through dedicated tracks such as Leadership or Entrepreneurship, and an additional focus on AI and Sustainability. This redesign lays the groundwork to remain ahead of the competition and maintain our leadership position in a highly competitive market”.
The Executive MBA programme at Vlerick is spread across 18 months with full teaching days every 4 weeks. The programme is part of a broader Executive MBA portfolio that was recently fully redesigned to provide maximum flexibility. Participants can now choose between multiple start dates and 3 formats (physical classroom experience, fully online or a blended and more international programme), each providing the same high-quality content and learning experience.
