Koen Tackx combines corporate strategy with strategic marketing. His strategy research focuses on ensuring effective strategy implementation, and on the impact turbulence and platformisation has on innovation and business models. His main marketing interest is balancing value creation and value capturing – and how different strategies can influence this balance – with a strong emphasis on pricing.
Koen has specific industry focuses too – including energy, financial services and telecommunications. And he has presented academic papers at major conferences. Besides his academic career, Koen has built over 20 years’ experience in various industries – including telecommunications, energy, real estate and HR services.
At Vlerick, Koen mainly teaches on our executive education programmes. He is the programme director of our Product Management, Pricing and Driving Growth through Customer Centricity programmes. And he teaches Digital Business Models on the Masters in Marketing & Digital Transformation programme.
