Focuses on price transparency in the pharmaceutical industry as well as ethics in AI.

Torben Swoboda works in the Vlerick Healthcare Management Centre alongside Professor Walter Van Dyck. Together they are working on a pan-European price transparency modelling project with pharmaceutical company MSD.

Torben is also a doctoral researcher at the philosophy institute at KU Leuven, where his research focuses on the challenges of using reinforcement learning as a framework for designing ethical AI. His studies are funded by Vlerick’s Academic Research Fund.

He also gives talks and lectures on the latest themes and challenges in AI governance.
